Roll With The Punches

In a Content in Business Spotlight Session, Patryk Luszcz, Regional Director at Profitroom, gave this advice:

“We all have plans for our businesses, and those plans might be great - until you get your first punch. Then those plans might need to change so that you're always agile.

“Geopolitical conditions and macroeconomics are changing drastically on a daily basis - so make sure your business is as agile as possible.

“Getting to your vision is not going to be easy. It's a meticulous step-by-step process, but make sure that no matter how many punches you take - how many challenges come up in the process - you keep on going, striving toward that vision and purpose.”

When we’ve spent all your time and effort building a great growth plan for our business - and we’re extremely confident in it - we often quickly move to a mindset of delivering on that plan at all cost.

When challenges arise - as they often do - it can be easy to bury your head in the sand and push on with the plan regardless. But the fact is that these challenges might force a change in plans whether you like it or not. You need to remain open to change and adjust. Particularly to challenges that hamper the plan or knock it back, affecting your key deliverables and milestones.

I’m not suggesting you zig and zag at every slight nuance in market conditions or changes in economy - far from it - you need to remain wise and strategic, not reactive.

But you constantly need to review and sense-check that your plans and processes are remaining relevant, and delivering on your overall vision.
