Connect Using Content

Listen to your customers, and learn from them, so you can refine your offering - and how you communicate that offering.

Understanding exactly who your customers and potential clients are - what their situation in life is, their desires and challenges - lets you refine what you say to them. Your offering and message needs to resonate!

Put a huge amount of effort into the right messaging, in your web and social content. Ensure whatever you publish should engage and have the right ‘hooks’. It's why the likes of Mr. Beast wins with his YouTube videos - because he looks deep into what resonates. He evaluates how he keeps his audience engaged throughout his content.

Consider this blog - I understand who I'm speaking to when writing this. It shapes the content and the dialogue. Content in Business is clear about the kind of things we cover, but we then get deep into specific topics - knowing that these are issues that business leaders and brand owners are facing.

Focusing on the tone of your content: Do you use comedy? Do you have fun with it? Is it a very serious subject? Does it need to be short? Long, snappy, drawn out, detailed, high level?

In person, we speak to someone more easily if we know their personality. We speak to different people in different ways because we have a pre-existing relationship with them.

It's the same in our business relationships. It's the same with existing and potential clients. So learn who they are and refine how you communicate.
